Skill

Adjust an existing plan without repeating information that remains unchanged.

  • State the change in the situation.
  • Identify the affected elements.
  • Issue the new task, purpose or priority.
  • State when the change takes effect.
  • Update relevant control measures, restrictions and support.
  • Confirm affected leaders understand the change.
  • Leave unchanged parts of the original order in effect.

Recommended format:

  • Situation: What has changed
  • Task: What must now be achieved
  • Execution: Who will act and when
  • Support: Changes to available support
  • Command: Changes to coordination or reporting
