FM/BS-1890 - Issue a Fragmentary Order
Adjust an existing plan without repeating information that remains unchanged.
- State the change in the situation.
- Identify the affected elements.
- Issue the new task, purpose or priority.
- State when the change takes effect.
- Update relevant control measures, restrictions and support.
- Confirm affected leaders understand the change.
- Leave unchanged parts of the original order in effect.
Recommended format:
- Situation: What has changed
- Task: What must now be achieved
- Execution: Who will act and when
- Support: Changes to available support
- Command: Changes to coordination or reporting
