FM/BG-1898 - Commander’s Critical Information Requirements
Commander’s Critical Information Requirements identify information that must be reported immediately because it may require a command decision.
These may include:
- Loss of command or communications
- An element becoming combat ineffective
- Contact with a significant or unexpected enemy force
- Discovery of an unexpected obstacle or threat
- Loss of a mission-critical asset
- A serious civilian or ROE incident
- Completion or failure of a decisive task
- Conditions requiring commitment of the reserve
- Conditions requiring a change of phase
CCIRs should be limited to information that genuinely requires immediate command attention.
